We collect and manage all data concerning OSH and we maintain our own database to ensure that all information is up to date and easily accessible for the purpose of managing and sharing knowledge with our people. We also administer statutory reporting to relevant authorities to meet our legal obligations in this aspect.

Certificate of Fitness and Use of Dangerous Machineries/Equipment
We work together with machinery owners and the authorities to ensure the process of certification and recertification of dangerous machinery runs smooth. We also consult stakeholders on the need of certification (Certificate of Fitness), managing deadline so that our machines are always having current certification and managing databases to ensure we keep track of our machines.

Workplace Inspection & Control Method Evaluations
We conduct safety inspections on regular basis to inform us of any best practices or learning opportunities for our people to improve or learn from each other. We evaluate existing control methods and recommend to improve if there is a need to strengthen our resolve in making workplace accident risks as low as possible.

Parameter Monitoring & Medical Surveillance
We work together with experts and competent persons internal and external of UNIMAS to monitor the ambient environment to ensure we meet the standards required for a safe and health workplace. In the events of a complaint or where it is necessary, we will manage the process of medical surveillance to determine the effectiveness of exposure prevention strategies.

Competent Persons
We ensure that our competent persons have current certification with relevant authorities and manage the process of new certification if there's need to be, or recertification for those who is nearing their due dates. We also work together with our competent persons to achieve our goals in making our work environment as safe and healthy as possible.

Emergency Preparedness
We administer practical emergency preparedness test annually for all Faculty and Departments having their own Emergency Response Team. This is to ensure that the team members can test their skills in responding to emergencies and at the same time, learn from their own experience and improve. The tests can include normal or full action where we prepare special emergency scenarios with actors as an added challenge.

Legal Compliances
We ensure our workplaces are complying to the current legal requirements, be it in the form of statutes, regulations, guidelines, codes of practices or orders to meet our legal obligations. We do this by observing, inspecting, checking, comparing, benchmarking and other means necessary, and is sensitive to the changes of requirements by keeping up with the authorities.
