Faculty/Department Safety & Health Committee

Safety and Health Committee share the responsibilities of implementing and monitoring UNIMAS’s safety and health policies and program.

UNIMAS has established 17 operational level safety and health committees comprised of employee-elected members (known as the 'Health and Safety Representatives') and management-appointed members. Every employee at UNIMAS is represented on one of these committees. Each committee meets on a quarterly basis to discuss safety and health related topics and concerns within their represented faculty or departments.

Employees are encouraged to run for committee membership, vote for representatives, and communicate safety and health concerns to the committees.
The Safety and Health Committee program is managed by COSHe. Each committee is supported by faculty or department leadership (Deans or Directors). Elected members (HSR) serve for two years in their respective committee until the next election.
